Matthew R. "Matt" Arnold, Esq. is the Managing Member of A&S Personal Injury Lawyers (Arnold & Smith, PLLC) and a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist. A Charlotte native, he co-founded Arnold & Smith, PLLC with J. Bradley Smith in 2007. While he primarily focuses on family law — divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and other matrimonial matters — Arnold also handles personal injury matters at the firm's affiliated personal injury practice. He is an experienced trial attorney who has tried bench and jury trials in both North Carolina District Court and North Carolina Superior Court. Arnold has been recognized in Business North Carolina's Legal Elite (2024), as a Top 10 Personal Injury Law Attorney (2024), and through Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Rising Stars designations. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and holds a Justia Lawyer Rating of 10.0 and an Avvo Rating of 10.0.
