From 2010 to 2012, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Charlotte School of Law, teaching torts, remedies, and advanced litigation. He continues as an adjunct faculty member at UNC School of Law. Jenkins earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with honors. He served on the North Carolina Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He earned his Master's Degree in Public Administration with honors from North Carolina State University and his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is admitted to the North Carolina Bar. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Litigation Section Council, North Carolina Advocates for Justice (two terms on Board of Governors), Wake County Bar Association, Susie Sharp Inn of Court, Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice.
