Background

Michael Sipla is an Associate Attorney at Malman Law in Chicago, where he focuses his practice on nursing home abuse and neglect litigation. He combines strong legal insight with extensive professional experience to advocate for elderly clients and their families who have been harmed by negligent care providers. Mr. Sipla earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School), where he served on the executive board of the Honors Program. During law school, he also worked with the Illinois Innocence Project as both an extern and a volunteer, gaining valuable experience in legal research, case development, and client advocacy. Before entering the practice of law, Mr. Sipla earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Illinois State University and spent 14 years working in the financial industry. He began his legal career at a defense litigation firm representing and defending nursing homes — experience that now gives him a unique perspective when advocating for plaintiffs in nursing home litigation. A Chicago native, he lives on the North Side and enjoys spending time with family and walking his dog along the lakefront.
