He served as President of the Indiana State Bar Association's Disability Section from 2019 to 2022. Burns joined Keller & Keller in 2008. He has conducted over 1,000 Social Security disability hearings and has appeared three times before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, prevailing in each. Burns earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and his B.A. in History from Hanover College in 1991. He is admitted to local federal courts in Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, the Central District of Illinois, the Southern District of Illinois, and the Western District of Michigan.
