Christian R. Jagusch, MD, JD is the Medical Negligence Counsel at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger (Walkup Personal Injury Lawyers) in San Francisco. With his unique medical and legal background, his practice focuses on the prosecution of complex medical malpractice cases. He has handled dozens of cases against Kaiser Permanente in Northern and Southern California and has extensive experience with the Kaiser arbitration system. Since joining the firm, he has helped obtain more than $200 million in settlements and judgments for clients. Before his legal career, Jagusch practiced Emergency Medicine for more than 10 years and remains a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry summa cum laude from Creighton University and his Doctor of Medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his postgraduate training at the Los Angeles County and USC Emergency Medicine Residency Program, where he received the Resident of the Year Award — the highest honor given to a member of the graduating residency class. Jagusch was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2015. He has joined the faculty at Creighton University School of Medicine and is developing a curriculum for fourth-year medical students to learn medical malpractice and other health law topics as an elective.
